The changing of the guard.

Last Monday was our 2nd term Opening Ceremony (始業式 shigyo shiki). As you can see, the students have undergone a change in outfits from the white to the blue.
I wonder if a change in attitude will accompany them?

We had a really crappy summer with lots of rain, minimal sun and several cloudy weeks. After a few days of constant rain, we are now getting the sun that we had missed so much during 夏 natsu. The Japanese equivalent of "Indian Summer" is 小春びより (koharu biyori). By the way, is it no longer PC to call it "Indian Summer" anymore? How about "Native aboriginal people's Summer" or "First Nation's Summer"?
